Michael Montoya

Michael Montoya has served the IT industry for the past 20 years. He has held senior roles in services and IT and currently serves as a security advisor to work with executives and governments on key cybersecurity topics and strategy. Mr Montoya joined Microsoft in September 2016 from Fireeye where he was Vice President of Asia Services and Global Cloud Services. He was instrumental in building Fireeye’s Asia markets, achieving over 300 enterprise logos in 13 APJ markets. He also established Fireeye’s global cloud delivery including all infrastructure, security and devops functions. Mr Montoya was previously with Microsoft where he managed internet datacentre and networking teams. His team was responsible for over 20% of global internet traffic and 13,000+ systems across 7 datacentres, and he also built out advanced support services teams throughout the Asia and European regions. In addition, he led the IT-as-a-Service function across EMC, winning industry CIO awards for adoption of cloud services, virtualization and security.
