The IIC International Regulators Forum is a unique annual programme pursued by the Institute. Its aim is to allow regulatory members from around the world to exchange views in confidence and, each year, to meet and discuss, in a secure environment, up to the minute issues in Regulation. Membership is restricted to statutory regulatory bodies.
The programme is in constantly evolving and in 2007 the Forum started the COMPASS publications series, on topics of key current interest to regulators. In November of this year the IIC’s new website will include a restricted site for regulators to exchange views and seek guidance from others. This will assist in establishing an ongoing relationship between the various sectors of the communications industry represented in the Forum and promote a continuing dialogue between regulators in different stages of policy development.
The package for 2010 will be:
- Complimentary attendance for up to two regulators to the annual International Regulators Forum [a wholly private meeting limited to regulators]
- Discounts on attendance fees at the IIC Annual Conference
- Complimentary attendance at regional meetings
- Invitations to the IIC Telecom and Media Forum meetings which are held throughout the year in different parts of the world.
- Complimentary copies of the IIC Journal ‘Intermedia’
- Participation in the COMPASS Occasional Papers series
- Advice from IIC London on where key regulatory issues are being addressed
- Ability to network in a secure environment with regulatory bodies around the world
- Direct access to the website “IIC RegForum” by private password
IIC is the only global institute that has, for many years, covered comprehensively both telecommunications and broadcasting issues. This offer now provides an exceptional networking and communication opportunity for regulators everywhere in a time of accelerating change.
The annual fees for membership are £4,800 per annum. For an application form please contact the secretariat. |
